Program Overview
ACETECH encourages you to bring your family to Whistler. Stay at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and enrol your children in the Whistler/Blackcomb kids ski school program (ages 3-12) for up to 3 days, compliments of ACETECH. Children and spouses of delegates staying at the Fairmont Hotel are also welcome to enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the hospitality suite and socialize with other families. -
Hospitality Suite
All registered companions and their children are invited to the ACETECH Hospitality Suite, located on the 3rd floor of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, to meet new friends and say hello to old ones, or simply to unwind. Our private concierge will be happy to assist you with general information about the Whistler resort - activities, shopping, dining, etc. and make reservations on your behalf.
A complimentary continental breakfast will be offered in the Hospitality Suite to registered companions and their children on March 4, 5 and 6, from 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will also be available throughout the day.
Please note: This program is complimentary for delegates registered at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Advanced registration is required so that we can prepare a badge for you to access the hospitality suite.

VIP Sports Program
Friday, March 7, 12:15 to 5:00 p.m.
Pick up your box lunch on-the-go and join the CEOs and speakers for a half-day of skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing or snow shoeing, followed by a hosted après-ski get-together (3:30 - 5:00 pm) at the Wildflower Restaurant and Terrace located on the lobby level of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
$110 (includes lunch, lift ticket, guide and après-ski reception)Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding
As a downhill skier or snowboarder, you will be grouped with 6 to 8 others within your ability level and will be guided to the terrain of your choice by a Blackcomb Mountain instructor. A dual mountain lift ticket is provided and your guide will give you access to VIP priority loading on the lifts. Skis/boards are not provided, however, as an ACETECH delegate, you may rent equipment at a discounted rate at the shop located right in the hotel. See the section on ski/board rentals below for more information.
Cross Country Skiing
Cross-country skiers will enjoy a 3 hour guided VIP tour around scenic Lost Lake. Skis, boots, poles and trail passes are provided. Your guide will pick you up at the Chateau Whistler and accompany you to the trails where your equipment will be waiting for you. Nestled amongst the trees, the trails take you to breathtaking vistas overlooking Lost Lake and both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. With its snow covered trees and sinuous streams you would be hard pressed to find a more surreal setting on any afternoon. The 32km of trails are suitable for novice skiers right through to experts.
Snow shoeing
Snow-shoers will enjoy a guided 2.5 hour scenic valley descent of Whistler Mountain. You will be transported by shuttle to Whistler Village where you will be outfitted with snowshoes, boots and wool socks. Your guide will accompany you on the Whistler Mountain gondola to Olympic station, where your trek begins. Experience the solitude of freshly fallen snow on forest trails as you discover animal tracks and wild birds. Enjoy a hot apple cider and a trail treat as you gaze at the awesome scenery of the Whistler Valley below. An unforgettable winter adventure!

Discounts on Lift Tickets, Equipment & Ski Programs
Lift Tickets
Lift tickets at discounted rates are available for Wednesday, March 5 through Sunday, March 9. Tickets may be purchased and picked up at the ACETECH registration desk from Tuesday, March 4th at 4:00 p.m. until Friday, March 7th at noon.Equipment Rental
Equipment for downhill skiing and snowboarding is not included in the cost of registration. Equipment rentals at discounted rates are also available at any Intrawest location with the Platinium Card that will be given to you upon registration. The Mountain Adventure Centre, an equipment rental shop is located in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler on the first level.
Ski Programs

Complimentary Ski Programs for Kids
The Whistler/Blackcomb Kids Programs are available for kids aged 3 to 12 years on March 4, 5 & 6. ACETECH makes these progams complimentary for delegates registered at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler during the conference. All programs include a healthy lunch and snacks.
Advance registration by February 17, 2009 is essential to guarantee space availability.Whistler Kids instructors know what it takes. They are highly trained professional ski and snowboard pros who like to take care of kids and teach them how to become better at skiing or snowboarding. They understand the uncertainty that comes with learning new things and they coax, encourage and care for kids every step of the way.
Whistler Kids Adventure Zones are designed to pique a child's imagination while providing a fun environment for developing skills. A mystical castle, enchanted forests, secret forts and the magical animals draw Whistler Kids into a world of their own.
Program for 3 - 4 Year Olds
These children get the basics of skiing with an emphasis on mountain fun, games and loads of laughs on specially designed children's terrain.

Program for 5 - 6 Year Olds

Program for Children 7 to 12 Years Olds
This daily program for skiers and riders provides everything from the basics to the terrain park to all over exploration. Designed for all ability levels. The focus is on "doing". Informal lessons with no standing around, just lots of mileage and tips to help conquer these world famous mountains.

Parents must personally register their children before 8:30 a.m. on the first day of the lesson.

After Hour Babysitting
Established in 1995, The Nanny Network Ltd. has been providing quality childcare to children of all ages. While you are enjoying all that Whistler Resort has to offer, qualified and reliable nannies will provide childcare at your location. Whether it is daytime or evening, your children are in capable hands. Arts and crafts, swimming and story time are just a few activities that your children can look forward to. All over the age of 20 years, the nannies hold a current First Aid/ CPR certification. Their references have been carefully screened and they have all undergone The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Security Check.
